–" My world view and awareness has grown exponentially since I first arrived at Elizabethtown.” --Steven DiGrazia

Steven DiGrazia with Dr. Ted Long and poster of senior class gift donorsDuring his college search, Steven DiGrazia was looking for a quality education, and when he came to Elizabethtown College, he found just that.

DiGrazia, who hails from Stone Ridge, N.Y., says, “[E-town] is reserved for those who are interested in a holistic education, where they are presented with a number of opportunities to engage civically, become a professional in their field and develop a better understanding of the world around them.”

Truly, throughout his time at E-town, DiGrazia has taken advantage of the College’s “holistic education” by becoming involved in a plethora of campus activities. DiGrazia, who is double-majoring in International Business and Spanish, is actively involved in Student Senate, where he served as the Class of 2011 President. Additionally, he is a Peer Mentor, AmeriCorps Scholar, Called to Lead participant, BCA Alumni Ambassador, Honors Council Member, Newman Club Member, International Business Peer Mentor, Overnight Host and SIFE Member.

These extracurricular activities and his study abroad experiences have helped him to become a global citizen. DiGrazia said, “My world view and awareness has grown exponentially since I first arrived at Elizabethtown. I have developed a greater appreciation and understanding of the global community.”

DiGrazia’s appreciation for E-town is not limited to his academic education but spans to his overall experiences at the College. He said, “The sense of community and trust that just emanates from the campus is really comforting. Elizabethtown has a very relaxed environment where students are able to interact freely with others and are not considered a number, rather an individual with a bright future.”

Indeed, DiGrazia has become an individual with a bright future through his experiences at Elizabethtown.
