Why Study Fine Arts at E-town?
Shape Your Own Curriculum to Meet Your Artistic Career Goals
Interested in becoming a professional artist? Choose a career track in Studio Art. Or working in museums or galleries? Choose the career track in Art History. Consider becoming an art teacher. The Art Education track, fully accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, leads to teaching certification for grades K-12.
Get Creative! Expand Horizons by Combining Majors and Minors
The Fine Arts curriculum is designed to facilitate double-majors and minors so you can enhance your career opportunities. Combine the Studio track with a minor or double-major in Communications, Marketing, or Professional Writing. Prepare to become an art therapist by combining the Studio track with Psychology.
Work in Various Media in Small, Hands-on Classes
In our small studio classes, students receive the attention they need to explore new ideas and media, working in traditional drawing and painting media, clay, wood, metals, glass and computer graphics. Students design their own interdisciplinary courses in architecture and engineering, creative writing and illustration, and communications and graphic design.
Showcase Your Work in Senior Art Show
During your senior year, you'll get to display your creative works in the senior art show. Maybe you'll even take home a prize.
Gain Appreciation for Art with On Campus Galleries
During your four years at Elizabethtown, you'll be able to enjoy dozens of art shows and pieces from our permanent collections at our three on-campus galleries.
