In the fall of 2014 I will be attending law school at either the Syracuse University College of Law or Brooklyn Law School. My history courses at Elizabethtown College helped me develop the skills that facilitated admission to both institutions. Analytical skills, in particular, positioned me to earn a good score on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). As a student of history, I was able to learn how to dissect texts, make compelling arguments, and write clearly and efficiently. Before coming to Elizabethtown, I knew that I wanted to study political science, but I also enjoyed and wanted to study history. As a result, I became a double major. I was also able to take an Asian studies minor by enrolling in Asian history courses with Dr. Kenley. The history faculty is fantastic and shows an interest in your development throughout your time at Elizabethtown. I feel confident about being a law student, and I owe that to being a history major at Elizabethtown College.
