PreMedicine Career Plan
Students choose many paths to achieve their career in medicine. Some students are accepted to medical school after four years of undergraduate studies while others take another path. Whatever path you choose you should consult the Chair of the Health Professions Advising Committee as you plan your education. Many health professions schools appreciate mature applicants with life experiences, so do not be discouraged if your path takes longer than four years. Nationwide, the majority of students are accepted into medical careers two years or more after their undergraduate graduation.
The various areas of medicine differ on their testing, application and timelines. Please choose the link on your chosen medical career to see the guidelines you need to follow to pursue your career.
