Teaching Japan Conference - April 27-28, 2013

Between "Cool" and 3-11: Implications for Teaching Japan Today - This conference will provide a forum to discuss how these new concerns have influenced our pedagogies, both in terms of re-evaluating our traditional curricula and possibilities of future dimensions that can be explored. To increase awareness of the richness of this area’s cultures, we have created a Living and Learning Community in our dorm called “Friends of Asia” where students interested in Japan and Asia live together. Besides organizing various activities together, they have access to Japan TV (Japanterebi) which broadcasts programs directly from Japan.
