Between "Cool" and 3-11: Implications for Teaching Japan Today - This conference will provide a forum to discuss how these new concerns have influenced our pedagogies, both in terms of re-evaluating our traditional curricula and possibilities of future dimensions that can be explored. Study Abroad Opportunities in Japan

There are several ways to study in Japan during your studies at Elizabethtown College. We are very proud of our short-term Study Abroad program in May and our semester exchange programs at Nihon University in Tokyo and BCA program in Sapporo.

Spend Three Weeks in Japan in May 2012: From Anime to Zen

The Department of Modern Languages is organizing one of the most economical Study Abroad programs available on campus in Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan for three weeks during the May 2012 term. This is a 4-credit course titled ‘From Anime to Zen: Introduction to Japanese Society, Business, and Culture’ and is open to all majors.

This program will cost around $3500 which includes airfare, accommodation, travel to sites within Tokyo such as Imperial Palace, National Museum, Asakusa, Ninja performance, the Japanese Parliament (Diet) and other institutions connected with government and business. Sites outside Tokyo would include Hakone, Kamakura, Kyoto and Hiroshima.
