Bachelor of Music in Music Education

The mission of the music education program at Elizabethtown College is to provide high-quality preparation to promote the development of effective future music educators. The program emphasizes the development of musicianship, knowledge of history, theory, and aural skills, and pedagogical knowledge and skills.

Music education students engage in extensive field experiences at the preschool, elementary school, and secondary environments to continuously link the development of on-campus knowledge and skills with the context of real-world environments. The program is dedicated to small class sizes that allow for extensive feedback and one-on-one interaction with professors.
