"[E-town's small classes] really prepared me for graduate school because at Elizabethtown you learn that in small classes you have to show up prepared and ready to engage in classroom discussions." - Brad Eargle

brad eargle by treesAfter completing his degree in music education at Elizabethtown College, Brad Eargle went on to Penn State University to pursue degrees in music composition.

When reflecting about the uniqueness of his E-town education, Brad stated, "Because it was a small school I was able to do a broad range of experiences that included composition and directing the band that set it apart from experiences that I would've gotten at a larger school."

Brad reflected that the accountability of a small school environment was a major factor in preparing him for graduate school.

"There's more a sense of accountability here because there are only five to six students in each class. It really prepared me for graduate school because at Elizabethtown you learn that in small classes you have to show up prepared and ready to engage in classroom discussions," he reflected.

Because of these characteristics, he has become successful in the graduate school environment.
