The Department of Political Science at Elizabethtown College offers a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, as well as a minor.
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
A Political Science degree prepares students for advanced study in graduate programs in law, public administration, business or education, among others; or, careers that include teaching, government service, campaigns and elections, advocacy, public relations, law enforcement, urban and regional planning, finance, environmental conservation and business.
The curriculum exposes students to the principle fields of discipline, including American government, comparative government, international relations, political theory, public administration and research methods. Courses are also designed to develop writing, oral expression, and analytical and critical thinking skills.
A minor provides students majoring in other areas an overview of political science in 20 hours of credit study.
