The Elizabethtown College Office of Church Relations works closely with other offices on campus on outreach.

College Information Events For High Schools

Each fall we participate in college information event open to high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and their parents. This is a joint effort with our fellow Brethren colleges.

Congregational Representatives Program

Once per year, Elizabethtown College invites congregational representatives from  to campus to discuss various topics, introduce them to the College and foster important dialogue between the College and the Church of the Brethren community.

Mutual Expectations Committee (MEC)

The MEC involves representatives from the College Staff, the Board of Trustees and two Church of the Brethren Districts (Atlantic Northeast and Southern Pennsylvania). Current membership of the Atlantic Northeast (ANE) District includes: Liz Bidgood-Enders; Larry O'Neill; Janice L. Ruhl, Board member; Norman D. Yeater and Craig H. Smith, Executive.

Current membership of the Southern Pennsylvania (SPA) District includes: Ryan Billet; Thomas Horst; Betty A. Malenke; and Joe A. Detrick, Executive. College representatives include: David E. Hosler, Board Chair; David C. Beidleman, Vice President for Institutional Advancement; Tracy Wenger Sadd, Chaplain and Theodore E. Long, President. Donna F. Steiner, Director of Church Relations chairs the Committee.

The committee meets twice a year to discuss various issues of mutual concern.
