FYS - Simple Living LLC

Students in the Simple Living LLC work collaboratively each year to create a mission statement for their group. Students from the 2010-2011 class wrote: “Our purpose is to model an environment where simplicity is welcomed, exemplified, and cherished, serving as an open supportive community to all who wish to pursue a meaningful and deliberate life (2010).”

Students in the Simple Living LLC take the first year seminar by the same name. Overnight camping trips, excursions to tea houses, and organic dinners are all activities enjoyed by the learning community.
