The beauty of Leffler Chapel and the surrounding campus make Elizabethtown College the perfect place to hold a wedding in Lancaster County and southeastern Pennsylvania. Many lovely wedding venues are available during the summer and academic year. We've seen alumni -- who met while in college -- return to campus to say their vows. Members of the general community looking for a nearby location for an outdoor wedding also find the campus to be a great choice.
Wedding ceremonies can be held on the campus of Elizabethtown College at various outdoor and indoor locations depending on the intimacy of the wedding.
Leffler Chapel features an ornate, multipurpose auditorium with seating for 840 guests. The center isle leading to the stage ensures that the bride remains the focal point of the ceremony.
The Young Center is a beautiful stone building located near Lake Placida. Inside, the Center features the Bucher Meeting house -- a room built to resemble authentic, historic meeting houses. The Bucher Meeting house seats 125 guests.
Located in a wooded area near the Young Center, the Lake Gazebo provides the perfect scenic touch for any wedding. The stone path leading up to the gazebo and Lake Placida in the background set the tone for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. The surrounding area can accommodate seating for about 100 people. Outdoor seating is not provided by the College and must be arranged by the wedding party.
The Elizabethtown College campus offers reception sites for weddings of all sizes, including the “KĀV”, located in the Brossman Commons Student Center (seating for 200), the Susquehanna & Swatara Rooms located in Myer Hall (seating for 200), and the M & M Mars Room located in Leffler Chapel (seating for 75-100). Our setup and catering crews can style any of these rooms to your specifications.
Catering for wedding receptions is provided exclusively by Elizabethtown College’s Catering Department. Please direct any catering inquiries to the Catering Manager at 717.361.1155, or by email at email@example.com.
