Dual Admission
Elizabethtown College’s Dual Admission Program offers the opportunity for students to earn an associate degree from a community college and complete their bachelor’s degree at Etown, either through the traditional College or through the online School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS). While enrolled in a community college, students accepted into the program will have access to academic, financial aid, and career advising resources at Etown along with select facilities and events to create a seamless transition and enhanced college experience.
Elizabethtown College has agreements with several institutions, including Allegany College of Maryland, Bristol Community College, HACC, RACC, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, and YTI Career Institute.
Dual Admission Benefits
- Direct admission into Etown bachelor’s degree programs including online programs offered through the SGPS
- Ability to enroll in courses not offered by their community college which are required for the completion of an Elizabethtown College bachelor’s degree. Tuition charges for up to two of these courses will be waived.
- 15% discount on all SGPS courses
- Access to Etown academic, financial aid, and career advising while enrolled in community college
- Access to Etown library resources, campus facilities, and events while enrolled in the community college
Admission Requirements
Students may apply for admission to Etown’s Dual Admission Program as early as their senior year of high school, or within their first year of community college, but no later than the completion of 45 college-level credits.
- Complete Etown’s Dual Admission Application.
- Select whether you prefer online or in-person courses.
- Students who are accepted into the program must maintain continuous enrollment and meet all Etown admissions requirements, including the GPA for their intended major at the time of matriculation.
Priority Deadlines
- Complete the Elizabethtown College Transfer Application by Aug. 15 for fall entrance and by Jan. 8 for spring entrance for traditional programs.
- Applications for online programs offered through the School of Graduate and Professional Studies can be submitted at any time and courses are offered on a rolling basis.
Agreement Details
- Prior to the completion of 45 transferable credits, students must declare their interest in the dual admission program by completing and submitting the Dual Admission Application for your respective 2-year college. For students already attending college, please contact the Transfer Services Office at your school for guidance in entering the program.
- Select the course sequence required for the corresponding major at Elizabethtown College.
- Complete the Elizabethtown College Transfer Application by August 15 for fall entrance and by January 8 for spring entrance.
Note:
- Transfer students are not eligible to apply to the Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor of Science in Health and Occupation) or the Accelerated Physician Assistant Program.
- Students interested in majoring in Music, Music Education or Music Therapy will be required to schedule an audition for their respective program.
- Admission to Elizabethtown College, whether through the dual admission program or not, is selective. A decision of admission will be based on a full and formal review of the transfer's application.

Frequently Asked Questions
Students will be provided with financial aid information for both institutions. Full consideration for Elizabethtown College aid and the option to apply for on-campus housing will be given upon matriculation to Elizabethtown College. HACC students are not eligible for housing until matriculation at Elizabethtown College.
Students may change their HACC or Elizabethtown College major at any time; however, they will be required to meet the entrance requirements for the new major at the time of change. While enrolled in the Dual Admission Program, students must notify both institutions of any change in major to ensure that they meet any prerequisites for the new program.
