Thank you so much for supporting JayScholar for the past six years! We have enjoyed showcasing the scholarship of Etown’s students and faculty on this online platform. To date, we have added more than 2,600 citations and full-text records for journal articles, book chapters, SCAD and SCARP posters, Honors theses, photos, videos, podcasts, artwork, archival materials, and more. As a result, Etown’s collective scholarship has been viewed more than 340,000 times, with some student papers reaching more than 5,000 downloads, and with Google referring more than 60% of the site’s traffic.
JayScholar was funded for several years as a digital humanities initiative within the College’s larger challenge grant from the Mellon Foundation. Unfortunately, the cost of the current platform is no longer sustainable, so it will be decommissioned as of December 16, 2024. We are exploring alternative repository solutions with a goal of reposting all existing JayScholar content on a new platform in the near future!
Feel free to direct any questions to Susan Krall or Sarah Penniman. Thank you for your understanding.
