Testing Accommodations
Faculty and the student can decide on a mutually acceptable method of meeting this accommodation, however the majority of students prefer to remain in the classroom or use a nearby conference room with easy access to the instructor. Students who use assistive technology such as a screen reader will need to take tests in sites where this is available.
Should faculty and the student decide the best location is in Disability Services, it is the student’s responsibility to bring a Testing Accommodations Form to their instructor to complete. Disability Services student coordinators manage testing accommodations along with their other responsibilities; the testing is regularly but not continuously monitored by video camera. Our student coordinators can generally provide this service between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Faculty can send scheduled exams to disabilityservices@etown.edu. Please contact Disability Services if you would like additional information about this process.
