Bruce G. Lynch, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

Bruce joined the Counseling Services and Student Health staff in January 2014, and has over twenty five years of experience providing services to students in college counseling centers. Bruce earned his Ph.D. from the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1995, and worked at Old Dominion University’s counseling center from 1996 to 2003. He worked in the Counseling & Testing Center at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2003 to 2013, serving as the Director for five and one half years and holding positions of Assistant Director, Training Coordinator, and Senior Staff Psychologist. Bruce is a generalist therapist who assists students with a variety of mental health, situational and developmental concerns. Areas of professional interest include supervision, suicide prevention, treatment of depression and anxiety, short term therapy, ethics, wellness, and family systems.

After 10 years of hospital-based counseling, Veronica joined the Counseling Services staff in October 2013. Veronica received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Millersville University in 2000 and her graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2003. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional addictions counselor (CCDP-D). Veronica is passionate about counseling others using a strengths-based collaborative approach. As a skilled generalist she has treated clients with a wide range of mental health, situational, and developmental concerns. Her professional interests include treatment of depression and anxiety, addictions recovery, spirituality, psychosocial adjustment, bereavement, self-esteem and development of interpersonal relationships. Her practice modalities include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy as well as mindfulness & acceptance techniques. A native to Elizabethtown she is delighted to be providing counseling services to the Elizabethtown College community.
Eileen Wagener, RN

Eileen Wagener is a licensed Registered Nurse who joined the Elizabethtown College Student Health team in February 2007. She previously worked in student health at another Lancaster county institution of higher education. Earning her associates degree in Nursing from Prince George’s Community College in 1982, Eileen has been practicing professional nursing for more than 36 years. Previous experience includes, cardiac care, surgical care, pediatrics, and ambulatory care. The past 16 years have been spent in college health.

Melina joined the Counseling Services Staff in September 2021 with a strong passion for working with the college student population. Melina earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Juniata College in 2017, her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University in 2020, and became a National Certified Counselor in 2020. She approaches counseling from a collaborative stance and uses a combination of counseling modalities, including person-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based to help students reach their counseling goals. Some of her professional interest include anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem/confidence building, substance use, and development of interpersonal relationships. She finds working with the college student population to be very fulfilling and is excited to bring her experience and counseling style to the Elizabethtown College Community.
