Human Services Minor
Our Human Services minor is designed to provide students with an inter-disciplinary overview of social issues in the United States, including human development, multicultural knwoeldge and the development of U.S. social welfare institutions.
Why Study Human Services at Etown?
Our Human Services minor provides an inter-disciplinary education that teaches students about social issues that they may encounter in their future careers and how to integrate this knowledge into their own profession to help address them. This minor enables our students to graduate fully prepared for a life of purposeful work.
Put it into Context
Our Human Services minor complements many of the majors we offer at Etown, including Occupational Therapy, Education, Psychology and Sociology. The interdisciplinary nature of the minor is designed to educate students about human services from a variety of perspectives.
Prepare for a Life of Service
Our Etown motto “Educate for Service” inspires our Human Services minor. Students who study human services are encouraged to explore society’s social problems and the intricate social welfare system designed to assist people in need. The minor provides students with the knowledge, values and skills needed for this exploration.
