Elizabethtown College has academic purchasing agreements with both Dell and Apple. This means that the campus community (students, faculty, and staff) can purchase computers directly from either vendor at a discount (approximately 5-8%).
Free Software Available to our Students

The following programs are available for our current students for work within your major:
ChemDraw is a software designed for drawing chemical structures, taking laboratory notes, and doing experiment write-ups. This program includes chemical structure essentials like atoms and bonds, as well as calculators, templates, and other drawing tools. All E-town students can download this software using their E-town username and password.

Mathematica is computing program that allows users to perform even the most complicated algorithms. This program includes functions such as number theory, algebraic manipulation, data analysis, graphing, and complex image computation. Mathematica also allows for importing and exporting data easily with cloud integration. All E-town students can download Mathematica using their E-town username and password.

E-town's licensing agreement with Microsoft now provides Office 2016 for PCs and Macs for free to currently enrolled students, and all faculty and staff. Students, faculty, and staff are able to download Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, and Publisher to up to five devices including personal computers and mobile devices. Download and installation instructions for installing this software are available in the ITS knowledgebase.
There are also academic discounts available on a variety of software including most of the applications students will use on campus. These discounts are provided through Journey Education Marketing, an academic software reseller. Qualified students, faculty, and staff can receive up to 75% off the commercial list prices.
